Dua In Islam

Allah Subahanahu-Wa-Tala says in verse 186 of Surah Al-Baqarah, "And when My servants ask you concerning Me, I am indeed close (to them): I respond to the dua (prayer) of every suppliant when they call on Me."

In the word of Prophet Muhammad Sallalahu-Alahi-Wasalam, "The supplication is the essence of worship." (At-Tirmidhi)
